The Procedure

CoolSculpting treatments “freeze” your unwanted fat cells, which are then naturally processed by your liver and removed from the body. You will feel a very mild, cold discomfort for around 5 mins at the start of treatment. Suction applicator applies precisely controlled cooling to a problem area between 35 to 75 minutes.

Post Treatment

Walk in, walk out procedure where you can return to normal activities and regular exercise immediately after. Slight redness in the area & very mild discomfort for a few hours after the fat-freezing treatment.

The Results

Noticeable improvement with one treatment in the treated area. Significant improvements seen with 2-3 treatments. Results can be seen after 3 weeks, however final results are seen around 3 months post treatment.

What is CoolSculpting or “Fat Freezing”?

CoolSculpting is a FDA-cleared, highly effective non-invasive procedure that permanently removes fat without surgery or downtime. Based on science developed by Harvard University researchers, this breakthrough “fat freeze” treatment involves exposing fat cells to very low temperatures. These stubborn fat cells are then crystallised, destroyed and removed naturally by your body’s immune system. The Procedure. What does it involve?

After a consultation with our medical professionals, treatment area/s will be selected. The vacuum applicator will be attached to the area being treated which delivers controlled cooling at the surface of the skin. As the panels go to work in the first few minutes, the patient feels a sensation of intense cold. This soon dissipates. This applicator remains attached for up to an hour. Many people spend this time reading, working on their laptop, or even taking a nap.

Will I experience any pain?

You may experience a very mild discomfort at the start of the treatment, however in most cases it is painless. Unlike many other methods of fat reduction, CoolSculpting involves no needles and no surgery. The patient is seated comfortably or lying down during the procedure and will feel a sensation of pulling and intense coldness. This soon dissipates.

What can I expect after the procedure/post operatively?

Coolsculpting is a walk-in, walk out treatment. Typically there is minimal discomfort and recovery time. Patients can resume their routine activities, including returning to work and exercise regimens on the same day as the procedure. Some people may experience temporary redness or numbness, as well as slight swelling and bruising in the treated area.

Results. What and when can I expect them?

You may start to see changes as early as three weeks after your CoolSculpting procedure, and you will experience the most dramatic results after 1 – 3 months. Your body will continue naturally to process the injured fat cells from your body for approximately four months after your procedure. Typically, the procedure can reduce the fat layer by 20-40%

Are the results permanent?

This non-invasive, fat reduction treatment utilities CoolSculpting technology so that the treated fat cells are eliminated permanently. As long as the patient maintains his or her weight with diet and exercise, long-term results and weight loss should remain stable.

How many treatments will I need?

Most patients get excellent results from one treatment. However, you can choose to have multiple treatments in the same area.  Subsequent treatments can be performed 1 week after your previous treatment, and you can have more than one area treated on the same day.
