New collagen production can take up to 3 – 6 months for the full results*, so expect a gradual improvement in acne scarring over this time. Dermal fillers will provide a more instant result while waiting for the full effects of new collagen production. Acne scarring is difficult to treat however with a multi-modal approach vast improvements can be made.
Significant improvement in the appearance of the acne scar and the pigmentation can be seen as new collagen fibres are produced.
The downtime will vary from 1-3 days. The best results will be seen at 3months post treatment.
