A Male Buttock Enhancement (or ‘Brozilian Butt Lift’) is a procedure that assists in reshaping your behind for a more pronounced and shapelier look. It can create the ultimate “bubble butt” and involves removing fat from one part of the body, and reinjecting it into the buttock area.

While most butt enhancements have been performed on women, more and more men are opting for a similar procedure. Liposuction is used to remove your own fat, and this is mainly performed on the abdomen, thighs or back. The fat is purified and cleaned. These healthy fat cells are then reinjected into your buttocks, resulting in a more muscular, squarer behind. The time will vary depending on the amount of fat required and extracted via liposuction. Both procedures can be performed on the same day.

We inject the fat into the muscle of the buttock and just under the skin to achieve projection – giving a muscular “bubble butt” at the back We also remove fat from the love handles to give a straight side profile compared to the S-shape side profile of a women.

On average, we inject 800 – 1,000 mls in each buttock cheek. In some cases, we may inject upwards of 1 litre per cheek.

Essentially, fat can be extracted from anywhere on the body that it appears. Typical places that extraction occurs include the abdomen, the thighs and the back. The upper arms, hips and chest are also options. Fat is ideally removed from the love handles and lower back as this gives an overall chiselled look. This precise extraction will help accentuate the shape of the buttock to give a stronger, muscular aesthetic.

There are options available for patients who do not carry a lot of excess fat. The first is to gain weight, using a healthy approach, until there is enough fat that can be removed. The second is to be referred to a surgeon for buttock implants. However, fat injections provide the most natural results and a carry very low risk of infection.

It is worth noting that with traditional Liposuction techniques, less than 50% of the fat extracted will survive the transfer process to the buttock. At Cosmos Clinic, we use Vaser Liposuction, which is a gentler approach of removal. The survival rate of the fat using these techniques is greater than 80%. 1

The best candidate for a Male Buttock Enhancement are those who need shape and definition to their behind, and have reserves of fat elsewhere on their body, namely the abdomen, thighs or back. Complaints such as “my butt is too flat” or “I want a more prominent bottom”, along with realistic expectations of results, good reasons for this procedure.

The procedure is performed under general anaesthetic or conscious sedation, so you will not feel any pain during the procedure. Pain relief is provided post operatively to minimise any discomfort after surgery.

Recovery from the injections of the fat into the buttocks generally takes around 5 – 7 days. The surgeon generally injects slightly more than what is needed as not all the fat will be taken in by your body. As a result, your initial reaction may be that your rear end looks swollen or bigger than expected.

This shape will reduce slightly as generally over 80% of the injected fat cells survive. A Male Buttock Enhancement will require you to wear a compression garment full time for 3 weeks, and after, part time for another 3 weeks. For 2 weeks following the procedure, you will be required to avoid sitting on your bottom or placing pressure on the area for prolonged periods.

We recommend sitting forward on your thighs. You will need to stay on antibiotics for 10 days after the procedure, and you will be required to attend the clinic for daily post-operative massages for the first week.

Results can be seen immediately, however true results are seen at around the 6 week mark. At this time, all swelling has subsided giving you the final look.
