Omnilux Treatment Information

Omnilux is a non-invasive light therapy that may assist in facial and skin rejuvenation, as well as collagen production. It can also be used to support accelerated healing after cosmetic procedures. Recovery time may vary among individuals. Suitable for both men and women, the treatment is usually paired with professional skin care treatments (mainly exfoliation) for maximum results. It is also commonly used to accelerate healing from other cosmetic treatments.

The different coloured lights effect the skin differently:

• Omnilux Blue Light Therapy: Reduces excess sebum, acne-causing bacteria and inflammation in the skin. It is great as an Acne Treatment, and can be used as a stand-alone treatment or combined with Photodynamic Therapy
• Omnilux Red Light Therapy: Stimulates moisture into the skin and adds volume -leaving it hydrated and more youthful looking. It can also be used in conjunction with the Photodynamic Therapy
• Omnilux Yellow Light Therapy: Rebuilds and strengthens tissue and helps to increase blood flow to the area. This particular type is great for healing bruises.

You will lay down under the LED light with it set to a light colour of your choice. Each Omnilux session takes approximately 20 minutes.

During the Omnilux treatment, patients may experience a warm sensation as the LED light surrounds the face. This sensation can vary between individuals. The treatment aims to provide benefits without the harmful effects of UVA, UVB, or infrared light radiation. Treatment takes less than 20 minutes. Following the treatment normal activities can be resumed immediately. A typical course includes 6 – 9 treatments for optimal results.

Omnilux is also used to treat troublesome skin problems; like rosacea and active acne.

The most exciting thing about an Omnilux treatment is it’s non-invasive and doesn’t generate heat nor any harmful UVA or UVB rays. The treatment utilises LED light, does not have the strength of a laser but is useful for strengthening the skin and encouraging healing. Omnilux is useful when used alone for stimulating collagen and healing bruises, post-laser trauma and reducing acne.

Some patients may notice their skin appearing clearer, brighter, and smoother after the first Omnilux treatment, although results can vary significantly. Post a series of Omnilux sessions, you will notice improved skin tone, improved skin texture as well as overall glowing skin. The length of the course, and the client’s individual skin type and texture, will determine the overall results as well. Omnilux treatments can be performed individually or over a course of treatments. A typical course is usually 6 – 9 treatments, however a course of 9 is recommended for the best results in those concerned with fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin tone. Once you have completed your course, maintenance treatments every 4 – 6 weeks will help maintain and prolong results.
