Non-Surgical Butt Lift procedures use hyaluronic acid to add volume to the buttocks, for an enhanced curve and fuller shape. With minimal downtime compared to a surgical BBL (Fat Transfer to Buttocks), and the ability to build on top of the product over multiple sessions, optimal results can be achieved and maintained long-term using fillers for buttock enhancement.
A dermal filler alternative to BBL surgery
Whilst a surgical BBL is an option for those who want a fuller and shapelier behind, non-surgical treatment options that are also available. A non-invasive BBL using dermal fillers may be an alternative for patients who struggle to gain the weight required for a fat transfer, or for those who simply wish to avoid invasive surgical procedures.
Benefits of a Non-Surgical Butt Lift
If you are not suitable for a surgical BBL (Fat Transfer to Buttocks), or are simply not wanting to undergo invasive surgery, dermal fillers may be a suitable alternative that can help you achieve a shapelier and more contoured bottom. Some of the benefits of choosing fillers include:
Enhance the shape and size of the buttocks with a naturally occurring substance.
Non-surgical option for buttock augmentation.
No incisions or scarring.
Shorter recovery time than BBL and butt implants.
Minimal pain and discomfort.
Customised treatment plan for precise contouring.
Natural-looking results that are immediate.
A Non-Surgical Brazilian Butt Lift uses high volume hyaluronic acid to enhance the shape of the buttocks without undergoing an invasive procedure such as liposuction and fat transfer.
The difference between dermal filler and biostimulators is that filler is immediate and long lasting, while biostimulators require you to wait 8 weeks or longer to see a mild change, and also requires multiple treatments.
A non-invasive BBL can target multiple problem areas such as hips, flat spots, and may help improve cellulite.
We offer Non-Surgical Brazilian Butt Lifts at our clinics in: Sydney, Adelaide, and Canberra.
Are the results permanent?
As the hyaluronic acid formula used in dermal fillers is gradually broken and absorbed by the body over time, the results are not permanent. The time it will take to do this varies between patients; it can take anywhere between 6 to 24 months to fully absorb, depending on your body type and lifestyle. Ongoing sessions to “top up” the filler in the buttocks prolongs the results.

WHAT DOES A NON-SURGICAL BUTT LIFT INVOLVE
Having the Procedure
How is a Non-Surgical BBL performed?
Undergoing a Non-Surgical Butt Lift procedure is a same-day treatment that can be performed using local anaesthetic. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect on the day:
The area will be marked up whilst the patient is standing. This allows us to see all contours and plan where the product will be placed for your desired look.
The treatment area will then be cleaned thoroughly.
A small amount of local anaesthetic will be administered to the area and a small needle inserted to create an entry point for the cannula.
The cannula, which is a blunt needle, is then used to strategically deposit the required amounts in a fanning technique to ensure even distribution.
Multiple sessions may be required to achieve your desired result. There will need to be a minimum of 3-4 weeks between treatments.
Is a Non-Surgical Brazilian Butt Lift painful?
When undergoing a Non-Surgical Brazilian Butt Lift using hyaluronic acid fillers, you can expect to experience mild discomfort during the procedure which will be similar to other facial injectables such as lip fillers and cheek fillers. A local anaesthetic is used during cosmetic surgery and pain relief is also available in the clinic.
After the procedure, you may feel mild pain and discomfort at the site of the injection which can be alleviated with over the counter pain relief such as paracetamol. Bruising and swelling immediately after the treatment is common and to be expected but should resolve within the first few days.
Recovery and aftercare
You will be able to sit normally immediately after the treatment, and antibiotics will be provided for an average of 5 days post treatment. You should expect bruising, swelling, redness, a skin tightening sensation, and feeling pressure in the treated area for the next 2-5 days. To see the best results, we advise:
No excessive exercise for 24 hours post procedure.
Avoid blood thinning medications for 3 days post treatment.
No intense buttock exercises for 3 weeks, such as squats
Secondary treatments are able to be performed 3-4 weeks post first treatment.

What are the risks and side-effects?
With any type of cosmetic procedure, there are risks, side effects, and downtime. For a Non-Surgical Brazilian Butt Lift using hyaluronic acid biostimulator fillers, these may include:
Bruising at the site which typically fading within 3-5 days.
Mild pain and discomfort in the treated area.
Asymmetrical results or uneven skin texture which can require additional vials of fillers to smooth out.
Lumping or formation of hard nodules.
Migration of the filler to other areas of the body.
While rare, allergic reactions to the filler substance is possible. This can include redness, swelling, and itching.
While rare, embolism can occur if accidentally injected into the bloodstream.
Who is a suitable candidate for a non-invasive buttock augmentation?
Good candidates for this cosmetic procedure include those who are after a mild to moderate enhancement of their behind using a non-surgical technique. Other suitable candidates include those with good skin elasticity and who are in good overall health.
What results can be achieved with a Non-Surgical Butt Lift procedure?
Dermal filler injectables are an option for patients wanting mild to moderate enhancements without having a surgical BBL. Using hyaluronic acid, we can contour the shape of the buttocks and add volume while stimulating collagen production in the skin and smoothing skin dimples. Depending on the amount of filler used, a rounder and more lifted bottom is achievable, and the appearance of hip dips can also be reduced with this non-invasive treatment.
What is the difference between buttock fillers and facial fillers?
While both of these treatments can use hyaluronic acid, the difference lies in the consistency of the substance for different body parts. For a non-surgical butt lift, a high volume dermal filler substance is needed which is thicker and more suitable for filling large areas. With a higher concentration and bigger molecule size, we are able to precisely shape and contour the behind for a lifted and more youthful appearance.
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring complex sugar substance that is already found in the body. While it can be used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles in the face and body, it is more commonly used to restore lost volume in the treated area to plump and fill. Used in larger amounts, it contours the area, filling out hip dips and increasing buttock projection and size Hyaluronic acid fillers are considered a better volume replacement than collagen stimulators as it produces immediate results. Depending on your desired buttock shape, you may need several vials of dermal fillers injected into the area over multiple sessions.
What other treatments are available for buttock augmentation?
At Cosmos Aesthetics, we offer Non-Invasive Brazilian Butt Lifts using hyaluronic acid fillers, as well the invasive fat grafting option Fat Transfer to Buttocks surgical procedure, also called a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). In Australia other options include poly-l-lactic acid treatments, sculptra, radiofrequency butt lifts, or buttock implants.
