Most patients retain over 80% of the injected fat cells. You will need to wear a compression garment full-time for 3 weeks, followed by part-time use for another 3 weeks. To avoid pressure on the treated area, you should refrain from sitting directly on your buttocks for the first 2 weeks, instead sitting forward on your thighs if needed.

Antibiotics will be prescribed for 10 days after the procedure, and daily post-operative massages at the clinic are recommended during the first week to assist with recovery.
