    THE RESULTS

The Premier Vaser Hi Def Liposuction Clinic in Sydney

What is Vaser Hi Def liposuction?

Vaser High Def liposuction is a minimally-invasive procedure that contours the body, creating an athletic and toned shape. VASER stands for ‘vibration amplification of sound energy at resonance.’ The technology uses ultrasound waves to disrupt or break apart the bonds that bind fat cells together for an easier and more gentle fat removal than traditional liposuction methods.

The technique is similar to other liposuction that uses ultrasound, only this procedure more precisely targets localised fat in areas such as the abdomen, flanks, chest (males), legs and arms. Furthermore, it strategically leaves a thin layer of fat behind over underlying muscles to create a more athletic and sculpted appearance.

Classic vs. Vaser Hi Def Liposuction

The three main advantages of Vaser:

    1. 54% more skin tightening than traditional liposuction, due to the thermal effect of the Vaser stimulating a surge in collagen production in the skin and remaining tissue.1
    2. More fat cells can be removed with less fatigue to the operator.2
    3. Vaser has less bleeding and therefore less trauma to the tissues.3

An innovative step further, Vaser Hi Def liposuction produces even more advanced results, particularly creating a muscular and fit appearance. Vaser Hi Def is highly precise, targeting small fat deposits surrounding and above the muscles. The high precision can contour the targeted areas for a more defined result, allowing the underlying muscles to become more visible.

*** Any invasive or surgical procedure carries risks

Why choose Vaser Hi Def liposuction, Sydney?

Studies show that Vaser Hi Def liposuction offers some advantages over other techniques. The biggest benefit is that it is less invasive than traditional liposuction, as the ultrasound liquefies fat in the body without damaging other tissue. The Vaser technology results in less bleeding, fewer contour irregularities and minimal chance of complications. Additionally, for patients who are looking to achieve a more sculpted and smooth appearance, Vaser produces superior tissue retraction, creating skin tightening effects. Vaser Hi Def liposuction demands little downtime, creates less bruising, and forms a much more athletic and toned result than traditional liposuction.

Who is the best candidate for Vaser HD liposuction?

Since the procedure is not intended as a weight loss tool, it’s ideal for men and women with stubborn or unresponsive fatty deposits who want to achieve an overall more athletic and muscular appearance.

Vaser Hi Def liposuction is most suitable for patients who:

    • Are close to their ideal body weight
    • Follow a healthy lifestyle
    • Arein excellent overall health
    • Have good muscle and skin tone
    • Have good skin elasticity
    • Are non-smokers or are willing to quit for at least two weeks before and after the procedure
    • Hold realistic expectations about what can be achieved with Vaser HD liposuction

Due to the quite defined and muscular results that Vaser Hi Def can produce, the procedure is often more suitable for men than it is for women. Women who opt for Vaser Hi Def typically have the goal of a bodybuilder type aesthetic. You can read more about this in our Vaser Liposuction vs. Vaser High Definition Liposuction article.

How Vaser High Definition Liposuction is performed

    1. Gentle sedation– general anaesthesia is not required, although it is an option. For patients who choose conscious sedation, medications are available to minimise pain and discomfort, and make them more comfortable during the procedure.
    2. Tumescent solution– the procedure starts with making tiny incisions in the skin, followed by injecting a saline solution to help loosen stubborn fat cells and numb the area(s) being treated.
    3. Vaser ultrasound– a small probe that transmits ultrasound energy is inserted which further breaks up the fat cells, allowing them to be easily suctioned away without harming the surrounding tissue.
    4. Liposuction– A small cannula is used by the doctor to remove adipose tissue both superficially and in the deeper layers. The goal is to target fat cells around the muscle groups to enhance the visibility of underlying muscles, producing ultra-defined results.

What to expect after the procedure

After treatment, patients may experience mild swelling and bruising. Any discomfort can be managed with pain medication and the use of compression garments. Drainage tubes may be inserted into the treatment areas to collect fluids for the first three to five days after treatment.

Most patients are able to return to work and other regular activities after one week. To support your recovery after the procedure, you should wear your compression garments, take care of your surgical sites, and attend your check-up appointments. Maintaining a healthy diet, staying hydrated and allowing yourself sufficient rest time after your procedure can also help you recover faster.

Strenuous exercise and other activities are not recommended and best avoided for two to three weeks after treatment. Swelling will continue to decrease, and skin will continue to retract up to six months after surgery. Small scars will usually heal and become less noticeable over time.

How much does Vaser Hi Def Liposuction cost in Sydney?

Vaser Hi Definition liposuction is more advanced and precise than other liposuction technologies. That being said, you can expect the costs for treatment to be higher than other types of body sculpting methods that are likely designed to produce much more subtle results.

The most important factor to keep in mind when considering treatment costs is that the Vaser Hi Def treatment is a far more technologically sophisticated treatment than other methods of liposuction, which means that the outstanding results, minimal downtime and less chance of risks and complications are reflected in the price. State-of-the-art, ultra-modern technology ensures that you are investing in the best treatment available.

Total Vaser Hi Def Liposuction costs will vary from patient to patient but will generally start at $7000 for women and $10,000 for men.

Multiple areas of the body can be treated in one session, which will create more noticeable results and mean that you will only have one recovery period. Each treatment area will be included in the total costs, meaning the more treatment areas, the higher the cost, however, it is cheaper and less physically taxing to invest in one treatment than undergo multiple treatments for separate areas over time.

Costs will depend on the area(s) being treated, anaesthesia fees, procedure time, and the procedure specifics such as the amount of fat that needs to be removed. Anaesthesia fees can be determined by the type of anaesthesia that you would prefer, such as if you choose general anaesthesia or twilight sedation. Exact costs are difficult to determine without a one-on-one consultation to allow your practitioner to assess your treatment areas and discuss your aesthetic desires with you.

Vaser Hi Dep liposuction costs will depend on the patient’s:

    • Treatment areas
    • Body type
    • Amount of fat to be removed
    • Desired results
    • Aesthetic goals

The best way to find out how much your procedure will cost at Cosmos Clinic Sydney is to book a consultation. During your consultation, your unique characteristics and goals will be evaluated, which will allow us to estimate your total costs and provide you with a personalised quote. The consultation will additionally allow you some time to financially prepare, as you will know what to expect for your specific procedure.

What areas of the body can be treated with Vaser Hi Def liposuction?

Vaser Hi Def liposuction can precisely contour various parts of the body, including:

    • Stomach
    • Chest
    • Arms
    • Back
    • Hips
    • Knees
    • Love handles
    • Saddlebags
    • Neck
    • Chin
    • Thighs

The most popular treatment areas are stomach, chest, arms and back, due to the particularly muscular appearance that the procedure creates.

    When will results be visible?

Liposuction is the leading cosmetic procedure because the results are visible right away. Many patients find that as the swelling and bruising subside, their results continue to improve for up to six months following treatment. Typically, the final outcome is fully visible eight weeks after surgery. Results will vary from person to person, as it can depend on the patient’s individual features, healing time and how well the patient has followed their recovery instructions.

    Are results permanent?

Once the fat cells have been removed through liposuction, they will not regenerate or grow back. In that sense, yes, the results of liposuction are permanent. If a substantial amount of weight is gained after the procedure, however, the treatment areas, along with other parts of the body, may be altered. The goal for patients is to continue to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle after the procedure.

Are there any risks or complications associated with Vaser Hi Def liposuction?

Vaser Hi Def liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure with minimal downtime, a low level of discomfort and a low occurrence of serious side effects. As with any surgical procedure, however, there is some risk of developing complications such as infection, scars, allergic reactions, swelling, bruising or unsatisfactory outcome. In some cases, the procedure needs to be repeated for optimum results. Choosing a qualified and experienced doctor can help patients reduce serious health risks associated with liposuction and ensure the best possible results. Our experienced team at Cosmos Clinic Sydney is passionate about delivering an optimal patient experience and creating the best results possible.

Will I need multiple treatment sessions?

With Vaser HD liposuction, one treatment can potentially be enough to produce sufficient results for some patients. However, other patients may require multiple treatments to reach their aesthetic goals. This can be determined during your consultation, where a personal treatment plan will be developed, or can be determined upon reviewing your initial results. Ultimately, the amount of procedures that you will need will depend on your desired outcome and your treatment areas.

Am I too thin to have Vaser HD liposuction on the specific areas of my body that seem to hold stubborn fat deposits?

Every patient will have a different distribution of fat on their bodies. Since Vaser Hi Def is very precise, we can focus treatment on the specific area that you need. Overall, leaner patients can actually achieve better results with this particular type of liposuction. However, you must be in good physical health to be eligible for surgery. We recommend booking a consultation at Cosmos Clinic in Sydney to find out if you are a suitable candidate.

How is Vaser HD technology different from the standard Vaser liposuction?

While the standard Vaser liposuction can produce a toned and fit-looking shape, Vaser Hi Def produces a more muscular appearance than the original Vaser technology as it uses a more precise method. Patients who undergo Vaser HD liposuction are typically interested in achieving a bodybuilder or highly athletic type of appearance. You can read more about the differences between the two technologies here.

How should I prepare for my procedure?

You will be provided with detailed instructions on how to correctly prepare for your procedure during your consultation. Generally, it is important to follow a healthy diet, stay hydrated and get enough sleep to ensure that you are in good health on the day of your procedure. If you are taking certain medications or supplements that can negatively influence the healing process after the procedure, you might be instructed to stop until after you have fully recovered. If you are a smoker, you will need to quit smoking for two weeks before your procedure date. Smoking increases post-surgery risks and can delay your recovery time. Some simple steps that you can take to feel prepared for your procedure is to make sure that you have comfortable clothing to wear, fill any prescriptions you may need, and organise somebody to help you at home while you are resting during your recovery.
