Vaser Hi Def Liposuction (also called Vaser Hi Def Liposculpture) is an advanced technique that precisely targets and removes stubborn fat from specific areas of the body. It can effectively give patients a more athletic-looking mid-section (abdomen, love handles, obliques), male chest, back, legs and arms.
Not all liposuction providers are trained in this advanced procedure. Vaser Hi Def doctors have special training and skill to sculpt both the deep and superficial layers of fat. It takes a certain level of aesthetic expertise to give patients the desired definition and chiseled appearance.
Why choose Vaser Hi Def Liposuction, Adelaide?
Vaser High Def Liposuction is a minimally-invasive procedure that has certain advantages over other techniques. Primarily, it removes fat cells without damaging the surrounding tissue (nerves and blood vessels), making the treatment much less invasive than traditional liposuction. Patient with mild to moderate skin laxity can also benefit from Vaser Hi Def Liposuction due to its well-documented skin-tightening effects.
Who is the best candidate for Vaser Hi Def Liposuction?
Successful candidates are those who exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet and maintain an active lifestyle. Vaser Hi Def is a perfect solution for patients who have achieved a healthy weight and muscle but just can’t seem to get the definition they want.
How Vaser Hi Def Liposuction is performed
Gentle sedation – general anaesthesia is not required although it’s an option. For patients who choose conscious sedation, medications are available to minimise pain and discomfort, and make them more comfortable during the procedure.
Tumescent solution – the procedure starts with making tiny incisions in the skin, followed by injecting a saline solution to help loosen stubborn fat cells and numb the area(s) being treated.
Vaser ultrasound – a small probe that transmits ultrasound energy is inserted which further breaks up the fat cells, allowing them to be easily suctioned away without harming the surrounding tissue.
Liposuction – A small cannula is used by the doctor to remove adipose tissue both superficially and in the deeper layers. The goal is to target fat cells around the muscle groups to enhance the visibility of underlying muscles, producing ultra-defined results.
What to expect after the procedure
After treatment, it’s normal for patients to experience some minor swelling and bruising. The doctor will prescribe medication to control pain and discomfort after the procedure. The use of compression garments can help with healing and ensuring a pleasing result. Drainage tubes may be inserted into the treatment areas to collect fluids for the first 3-5 days after treatment.
Most patients are able to return to work and other regular activities after one week. Strenuous exercise and other activities are not recommended and best avoided for 2-3 weeks after treatment. Swelling will continue to decrease, and skin will continue to retract up to 6 months after surgery. Scars will usually heal and become less noticeable over time.
How much does the procedure cost?
Vaser Hi Def Liposuction Adelaide starts at $7000 and up depending on the area(s) being treated.
What areas of the body can be treated with Vaser Hi Def Liposuction?
The most popular treatment areas are stomach, chest, arms and back. Other parts of the body can be contoured, including:
Thighs (outer, inner and middle)
Is Vaser Hi Def Liposuction more expensive than traditional lipo?
Vaser Hi Def can cost a little more than traditional liposuction due to the advanced equipment required and unique training of the doctor. There may also be more time involved with Vaser Hi Def because of the high level of precision needed to remove fat and sculpt each muscle group. The cost can range anywhere from $7000 and up, depending on how many areas are being treated.
When will results be visible?
Patients will notice an immediate improvement after surgery; however, some swelling is normal for the first 3-4 weeks. This may affect how the treatment area looks and some patience is needed to see the final outcome. The final results will be visible 4-6 months after surgery because it takes that long for the body to completely heal.
How many treatments will I need?
The goal of any Vaser Hi Def Liposuction doctor is to deliver a satisfactory result the first time. In some cases, however, it may be necessary to do a follow up treatment to maximise results. This is normally done after 6-8 months. Touch ups are never as involved as the primary procedure and are usually quick with a faster recovery. Keep in mind that if multiple areas need to be treated, it may require several visits to accomplish the desired results.
