Your medical cosmetic injector will help you determine the areas that need to be treated and the extent of correction required. They will also discuss your objectives and your desired results. To help minimise any discomfort, topical anaesthetic cream and/or an ice pack will be applied to numb the area. Local anaesthetic is also incorporated into the dermal filler products we use, allowing for a more comfortable experience as the treatment progresses.

Dermal Fillers can last anywhere between 6 – 24 months depending on their placement on the face. As a guide, dermal filler in more active areas (such as lips) will break down faster, whereas less active areas (such as the cheeks) will last longer. Additionally, results may vary from person to person. Overall, many of our patients are happy to discover that our dermal fillers last longer than some of our competitors’ products.

You can expect some minor and temporary side-effects after your appointment. Slight redness, bruising, swelling and tenderness may occur for up to a week after your dermal filler treatment. For the most part, it’s a ‘walk in, walk out’ procedure and you can go back to work the same day.
