Dermal fillers can be injected with either a needle or cannula, depending on the treatment area. The fillers used at Cosmos Clinic contain a local anaesthetic that minimises discomfort during the procedure. While you may feel a slight pinch as the product is injected, the procedure is relatively pain-free. Immediately after your dermal filler treatment, your injector will apply pressure to the treatment area with gauze.

What to expect after a dermal filler treatment

One of the great things about dermal filler is that it is a straightforward treatment that can be performed during your lunch break, after work or at the start of your weekend. As a walk-in, walk-out procedure, you are free to return to your daily routine immediately after treatment. While you may experience some slight bruising, swelling and tenderness in the treatment areas, these side effects are typically mild and should go away within a few days.
