Look visibly younger by treating frown lines, smile lines and forehead lines with Anti-Wrinkle Injections. This safe and effective treatment relaxes facial muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles with no downtime.
Anti-Wrinkle Injections (also known as neuromodulators or neurotoxins) can give your face a more youthful and refreshed appearance. Neuromodulators work by blocking the impulses between nerve cells so the muscles are not able to contract and make facial expressions.
If you’re bothered by fine lines and wrinkles in areas such as the frown, forehead and crow’s feet, this treatment can address these concerns without surgery or downtime. It can also be used for excessive sweating and to narrow a square or wide jawline (masseters). It takes approximately 7-14 days to see the final results which typically last between 3-6 months.
Why choose Anti-Wrinkle Injections, Adelaide?
Anti-Wrinkle Injections are an affordable way to prevent and address skin aging. Here are the top five reasons to choose Anti-Wrinkle Injection:
Non-surgical: Anti-Wrinkle Injections involve little personal risk with a high reward. The treatment is extremely safe for women and men of all ages.
Minimal downtime: Treatment only takes a few minutes and you can return to work immediately. Swelling is minimal and bruising is rare. There’s also little discomfort as the needle are extremely thin and the medication is administered very quickly.
Results occur gradually: You won’t leave the office looking different. You’ll begin to notice subtle changes/improvements after approximately 3-5 days and full results after 14 days.
You can wear makeup right away: If you do have a little redness or bruising following your appointment, you’ll be able to apply a little makeup to cover it up. Just remember to use a gentle touch and not rub the treated area.
Effects are not permanent: Anti-Wrinkle Injections typically last 3-6 months. If you choose not to continue treatment once the medication has worn off, you won’t experience any permanent changes.
Who is a good candidate for Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
Medically you would be cleared for treatment if you’re in good health, not pregnant or nursing and have no history of neuromuscular disease (such as multiple sclerosis). You’re an excellent candidate for Anti-Wrinkle Injections if you’re concerned with frown lines, forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, droopy eyebrows, smoker’s lines, bunny lines, widened jawline and excessive sweating.
How are Anti-Wrinkle Injections performed?
Your provider will first disinfect the area, ask you to make specific facial expressions (frown or squint), and then proceed with injecting a small amount of neurotoxin directly into each muscle. Whether you’re a new or repeat patient, there’s usually a quick consultation beforehand to assess your muscle movement and to help determine your aesthetic goals.
What to expect after the procedure
Immediately after you may have tiny little raised bumps at the injection site. This normally clears up within 20-30 minutes and you can return to work right away. You will be given post-care instructions, such as not to touch or rub the area, bend over or lay down for four hours, and refrain from engaging in vigorous activities.
Patients typically start seeing results after 5-7 days and fully after two weeks. The effects develop gradually over time. As the muscles become less active, fine lines and wrinkles becoming less visible. At the 2-week mark your results are fully developed and any necessary touch ups can be done at this time.
How much does the procedure cost?
Forehead wrinkles prices start from $165 – $200
Frown lines prices start from $200 – $400
Around the eyes prices start from $200 – $400
Brow lift prices start from $165 – $200
Initial consultation is between $120 – $150, redeemable upon treatment
How long do the effects last?
The effects normally last 3-6 months after which time the treatment must be repeated to maintain the results. If you choose stop getting Anti-Wrinkle Injections at any point, the treated areas simply return to normal without any permanent changes. The short-lived nature of Anti-Wrinkle Injections is another major advantage of this procedure over more permanent anti-aging techniques.
Will I still be able move my face?
Many people new to Anti-Wrinkle Injections are concerned about looking ‘frozen’ or unnatural. This concern is largely unfounded because current injection techniques are much more advanced that before. When administering neuromodulators you injector will only treat those muscles that cause wrinkles or give the face a tired or droopy appearance. You’ll still be able to smile, laugh and express yourself naturally.
What causes a droopy eyelid and how do I prevent this?
Droopy eyelid (medical name ptosis) can happen when the Anti-Wrinkle Injection travels too close to the eye. It usually begins to be noticeable 1-3 weeks after treatment and last on average 3-4 weeks. It tends to go away on its own without requiring treatment. To prevent this from happening we recommend following your post-care instructions very carefully. The main way to avoid a droopy eyelid is to avoid touching or rubbing the area immediately after treatment and to avoid bending over or laying down for four hours.
