Vaser Liposuction to the calves is a procedure performed under mild sedation. This cutting-edge procedure is gentle enough to be performed with local anaesthetic under light sedation, making it a safer option than a procedure requiring a general anaesthetic. Vaser Liposuction uses ultrasound energy to deliver precise results, by melting fat cells and promoting skin tightening. During the procedure, a small ultrasound probe is passed under the skin to dissolve the fatty layer before it is suctioned away. The procedure can melt a brick of fat into a softer state; like a slab of butter, thus allowing the fat to be gently removed.

You will see results approximately 6 months after your procedure. Before this time due to the calf area being so far away from the heart, swelling can occur.

The procedure is a walk in – walk out treatment and takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes to complete. You may experience some temporary soreness or bruising in the area. Very fine needles are used and hurt no more than a routine blood test. Most patients tolerate the treatment very well.
