The procedure

Lose the stubborn face fat with surgical intervention

Chubby cheeks is a physical trait that can make a person with a slim physique seem bigger than they really are. Even with facial exercises, a healthy diet, facial massages and the reduction of water retention, it can still be difficult lose face fat. Cheeks can be resistant to diet and exercise; therefore, surgical intervention may need to be taken. This can be done via Vaser Liposuction to remove the excessive fat cells in this area.

Gently melts the fat for a permanent change in facial shape

To perform the cheek liposuction with Vaser, your doctor will create a personalised treatment plan, designed to suit your individual needs and aesthetic goals.

Since the cheek liposuction procedure is considered as less invasive than traditional methods of liposuction and surgical facelifts, patients will only require local anaesthetic and twilight sedation for the procedure to be performed.

After small incisions are made, facial Vaser liposuction uses ultrasound technology to melt fat cells in the cheeks before they are suctioned and permanently removed. The innovative method melts fat and heats up collagen to assist in tightening the skin. Vaser cheek liposuction will take about 30 minutes to complete is associated with a quick recovery.

How much does cheek liposuction cost?

Chubby cheeks removal treatment prices vary depending on your overall situation and expectations. As a guide:

  • Vaser liposuction price starts from $5,500
  • Initial consultation is between $120 – $330

Depending on the shape of your face, facial muscles know as the masseters may be the problem. Like any other muscle in the body, when overused, it can grow bigger. Treating the masseters can be referred to as Jaw Line Contouring. This treatment just uses Muscle Relaxing Injections to achieve slimmed cheeks and a chiselled jawline. It is an effective treatment in relaxing the muscle that causes a larger face. This non-invasive treatment can reduce the muscle’s size to create a more slimmed appearance.

At Cosmos Aesthetics, we understand that considering the costs of the procedure is an important part of deciding whether or not to undergo surgery. To receive a personalised quote, we recommend booking a consultation at our Sydney, Gold Coast, Canberra or Adelaide locations. Cheek liposuction costs can depend on:

  • Treatment areas
  • Amount of fat removed
  • Individual body type
  • Type of anaesthetic used
  • Amount of time spent in surgery

You may be able to treat other areas of the body at the same time as your cheek liposuction procedure. This will increase your total procedure costs, however, it can reduce overall costs when compared to undergoing multiple separate procedures. If combining procedures is an option that you are interested in, you should discuss this with your doctor during your consultation.

FAQs

Frequently asked

The high-tech Vaser technology is an advanced method of liposuction, designed to melt stubborn fat cells before the removal using ultrasound energy. This allows for a gentler removal, preventing surrounding tissue in the treated area from becoming damaged during the vacuum process.
The heat from the ultrasound energy will stimulate collagen fibres, causing the skin to retract and tighten. This contributes towards the toned and sculpted results of the procedure.
Suitable candidates for cheek liposuction can include those who:
  • Are in good physical and mental health
  • Have stubborn fat in the cheeks/lower facial areas
  • Hold realistic expectations for the procedure
  • Have good skin elasticity
  • Are non-smokers or are willing to quit before surgery
  • Are prepared to follow a healthy diet and exercise regularly to avoid significant weight gain after the procedure
Results can be instant but swelling will need to subside to allow for better visibility of the results. Therefore, results can take several weeks to become noticeable, with full results developing at about six months after your procedure.

Cheek liposuction permanently removes the targeted fat cells. However, to ensure the permanency of your results, you will need to maintain your post-lipo weight, as significant weight gain after your procedure can cause the remaining fat cells in the treated area to expand.

The tightened skin can be long-lasting, but the natural aging process will still continue to take place and can cause the re-appearance of sagging skin in the future.

Yes, cheek liposuction and body liposuction use the same Vaser method. One difference is that the chubby cheek removal procedure with liposuction will typically require less fat to be removed than liposuction procedures that are performed on the body.

You will be provided with personalised instructions on how to prepare for your cheek liposuction procedure. Generally, smokers will need to quit, and patients will need to avoid certain medications and supplements that can affect the healing process during recovery.

To get organised before your procedure, you can prepare some healthy meals, purchase comfortable clothing, fill prescriptions, and ask somebody to pick you up from the hospital after your procedure.

Patients will be under twilight sedation and local anaesthesia. Therefore, there should be no pain during the procedure.
