Since the cheek liposuction procedure is considered as less invasive than traditional methods of liposuction and surgical facelifts, patients will only require local anaesthetic and twilight sedation for the procedure to be performed.

After small incisions are made, facial Vaser liposuction uses ultrasound technology to melt fat cells in the cheeks before they are suctioned and permanently removed. The innovative method melts fat and heats up collagen to assist in tightening the skin. Vaser cheek liposuction will take about 30 minutes to complete is associated with a quick recovery.

Recovery – What to Expect

After your Vaser cheek liposuction procedure, you will be able to return straight home. You may feel some pain and discomfort, but this can be managed with prescribed pain medication. You will be required to wear a compression garment to help ensure the best results. The compression garment will need to be worm full time for one week, and then just at night for two weeks. Recovery typically lasts a few days to a week, allowing you to get back to your usual daily activities. You will be given personalised recovery instructions during your consultation. In the meantime, uou can familiarise yourself with the following instructions and advice:

Wear your liposuction compression garments
Maintain a healthy diet and stay hydrated
Take care of your surgical sites as instructed
Attend your post-surgical check-ups
Avoid strenuous exercise
Avoid excessive heat exposure, such as saunas
Sleep with your head elevated for at least two weeks to reduce swelling
Listen to your body and report any concerning symptoms to your doctor

Potential risks and complications of cheek liposuction

Vaser liposuction is associated with less risks and complications than traditional methods of liposuction, however, all surgeries will carry some risks. Closely monitor your health after your procedure and notify your doctor of any concerning symptoms as soon as you can. What is Vaser?

The high-tech Vaser technology is an advanced method of liposuction, designed to melt stubborn fat cells before the removal using ultrasound energy. This allows for a gentler removal, preventing surrounding tissue in the treated area from becoming damaged during the vacuum process.

What happens to the skin after chubby cheeks removal?

The heat from the ultrasound energy will stimulate collagen fibres, causing the skin to retract and tighten. This contributes towards the toned and sculpted results of the procedure.

What makes a suitable candidate for chubby cheeks liposuction?
