What is Ultraformer?

Ultraformer III uses focused ultrasound technology aimed at facial lifting, tightening, and contouring.

Ultraformer III utilises high-frequency focused ultrasound (HIFU) energy to instantly contact collagen fibres and promote long term collagen growth for a natural, lifted look with no downtime.

How does Ultraformer work?

Ultraformer III uses micro-focused ultrasound energy is delivered precisely into multiple skin depths without damaging the surface of the skin. It is first delivered to the dermal layer to stimulate collagen production and renewal and then even deeper to the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) layer to create lift.

Ultraformer heats the targeted tissue between 60-70 degrees. This causes the existing collagen fibres in the tissue to coagulate, and contract causing an immediate reduction in wrinkles and skin laxity and encouraging the growth of new collagen over the following weeks and months.

How long is the treatment?

Treatment times vary, depending on the area of treatment. Treatment for the entire face and body can be delivered in approximately 45-60 minutes. Whereas treatments to individual areas of the face or body can be delivered in as little as 15 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?

Our normal treatment plan for skin tightening is 2 treatments, 3-6 months apart with an annual maintenance treatment.

What results can I expect? How fast will I see results?

Initial results may vary, with potential changes in collagen production over 6-12 weeks. Results will continue to improve over time, up to 3 months post-treatment.

Is there any downtime or pre- or post-treatment care?

No downtime is needed after receiving an Ultraformer III treatment. It is normal to feel some discomfort following the procedure, but most patients can return to their regular activities right away.

After an Ultraformer treatment, you may have red skin which lasts anywhere up to a few hours. Some patients experience minor bruising and swelling which can occur for up to several days after the procedure.

You may also experience slight numbness, a dull ache, or a tingling sensation for up to a few weeks.

Can Ultraformer be used in conjunction with Anti-wrinkle treatments and Fillers?

We recommend you having anti-wrinkle 2 weeks before or after Ultraformer.

We recommend having filler 2 weeks after Ultraformer.

It is the perfect complement to fillers and enhances results more so by the stimulation of collagen and elastin fibres.

Can Ultraformer be used in conjunction with BBL laser?

We recommend waiting 4-6 weeks post Ultraformer.

Can I have Ultraformer if I’ve had Threads?

We recommend waiting for your threads to dissolve before having Ultraformer.

Who isn’t suitable for Ultraformer?

Patients who are pregnant or who have facial implants or open wounds on their face are not appropriate for this treatment.
