Where are the filler injections placed in the penis shaft?

The plane that the penis filler is placed into is called the areolar tissue. This tissue is located between two fascia layers; the Superficial Fascia (Dartos) and the Deep (Buck’s) Fascia. Areolar tissue is a connective layer that is loose and continuous which makes it easier for a cannula to enter and for the filler to be evenly distributed for smooth and even results. The cannula will be blunt which helps the instrument to stay within and move easily through the tissue. The bluntness of the syringe also helps to protect the surrounding tissues from trauma which increases the safety of this cosmetic procedure.

Any type of dermal filler in the face or in the body is only temporary as your body gradually breaks down the filler over time. You have the option of having another treatment done when the filler has been absorbed, or to top up the filler after 1 year for longer-lasting results. The amount of time that dermal filler lasts following an enlargement treatment varies from patient to patient, depending on the individual and their lifestyle. In most cases, the results can last anywhere from 1-5 years, however this can vary and is not a guarantee.

Having the Procedure

To begin the cosmetic procedure, a topical anaesthetic numbing cream will be applied to support patient comfort levels. To enable even distribution of the filler, your injector will use a medication that temporarily induces an erection. Small amounts of filler will be precisely inserted into the injection sites using a blunt-tipped cannula at a time to create the desired results.

The quantity of filler required varies based on individual goals regarding size increase or shape change. Generally, 15ml of injectable filler can increase flaccid circumference by 2-3cm, and 1.0-2.5cm when erect.

How long does a penile enhancement treatment take?

Also known as non-surgical phalloplasty, using fillers can be a treatment option for suitable candidates who want to change the size and shape of their penis without undergoing more invasive plastic surgery procedures with a plastic surgeon.

Depending on your personal goals, penis augmentation can increase erect and flaccid penis girth or circumference or change the shape of the glans corona or rim of the penis head. Some patients may be advised to treat the glans corona or rim of the penis head as well as the circumference of the penis to ensure symmetrical results.

The procedure can take about 30 minutes to one hour, after which patients are able to return straight home or their usual daily routine.

Will I feel any pain during the treatment?

A topical numbing cream is applied to aid in patient comfort, though individual experiences of discomfort may vary during the treatment. The penis fillers are injected with tiny needles, causing a slight pinch that would only last for a few seconds. Make sure that you arrive at least 15 minutes early on the day of your procedure so that there is sufficient time to apply more numbing cream if necessary.

Is there any downtime?

A penile enlargement procedure using filler has downtime. You may experience tenderness after the procedure has been completed, but this should subside during the minimal recovery time. A bandage will need to be worn for 2 weeks to reduce swelling and support good results. The induced erection will subside in 2 hours post procedure.

The hyaluronic acid filler will naturally integrate into the penile tissue within one to two weeks. To ensure smooth and even results, the filler should be gently massaged. It can take about two weeks for results to begin to show as the filler stabilises.

Keep the penis clean to avoid infection.
Avoid sexual intercourse or manual satisfaction for 2 weeks.
Clean the penis after sexual intercourse for the week after.
Take the full course of antibiotics after the treatment.
