Reducing the amount of fat on the underside of the upper arms in the triceps area can be challenging to accomplish even with a healthy lifestyle, regular exercise, and a balanced diet. For suitable candidates, Upper Arm Liposuction may be a potential body contouring treatment option to reduce unwanted fat and excess fat cells in the targeted upper arm area.
It is imperative that anyone considering Arm Lipo must have realistic expectations and remember that having cosmetic surgery for body contouring is a serious decision that should never be taken lightly. Cosmetic procedures including Arm Lipo are surgical procedures that carry risks, side effects and potential complications, which can be permanent.
Prior to deciding to undergo an Arm Liposuction procedure, all patients must understand that the experiences and outcomes of one person, does not reflect or guarantee the outcomes another person may receive. Vaser Arm Liposuction is a surgical procedure and the results achieved will vary due to multiple factors.
Preparing for a surgical procedure is an essential component for all patients. It is imperative you fully comprehend the risks, side effects and complications of Arm Liposuction, and understand that liposuction is not a weight loss procedure, prior to deciding to have surgery. Comprehensive information sheets covering all aspects of undergoing a surgical procedure at Cosmos Aesthetics including what to expect during recovery, will be provided and discussed with you in detail during your consultations with the doctor, and before you are able to book for cosmetic surgery.
At Cosmos Aesthetics we use Vaser Liposuction for all our liposuction procedures. A surgical procedure performed through small incisions, Vaser Arm Liposuction utilises ultrasound technology to target excess fat cells and liquefy stubborn fat in the treated areas. A tumescent local anaesthesia numbing solution along with IV sedation (either twilight sedation or general anaesthesia) are used during surgery. A cannula is inserted via tiny incision sites, to break apart the excess fat cells ready for fat removal retraction using suction technology.
The small area of arm fat treated in an Arm Lipo cosmetic procedure is on the underside of the upper arms, also known as the triceps. Whilst not an alternative to having a brachioplasty (an arm lift), undergoing a Vaser Arm Liposuction procedure may enhance skin tightening and reduce stubborn fat from the underside of the upper arms in suitable candidates.
The doctors will discuss what to expect during the recovery time period at length with you during your consultations. Specific instructions for wearing compression garments, managing pain and nausea following Arm Lipo, as well as performing daily lymphatic drainage massage will all be provided to you in detail, including hard copies of all information sheets for you to refer back to as needed.
After having an Arm Liposuction procedure, you will be required to wear compression garments for six weeks following your surgical procedure. You will also need to massage your upper arms every day throughout your recovery. It is essential that all patients follow the post-procedure aftercare instructions provided to them and attend all scheduled follow up appointments for ongoing support following Vaser Arm Liposuction.
Not all patients who consider having Vaser Arm Liposuction are suitable candidates, and suitability is determined by the doctor during your initial consultations. Some patients may have experienced significant weight gain or weight loss, may have excess fat and excess skin, or reduced skin elasticity resulting in loose skin, making them unsuitable for Arm Liposuction. Individuals who are unable to have the cosmetic surgery treatment option of Arm Lipo, may be referred to a plastic surgeon to discuss and consider other plastic surgery, such as a brachioplasty also known as an arm lift.
The price of an Arm Liposuction procedure will vary between individuals depending on multiple factors. Arm Liposuction costs aren’t a one-price-fits-all surgical procedure. The total cost to have cosmetic surgery varies greatly based on the personal circumstances of each individual and their specific needs.
At Cosmos Aesthetics pricing for liposuction will always start from a minimum $5,500 for the base price, with additional areas costing a smaller fee starting from a minimum $2,000. These prices are just a guide and are not intended to be a quote. Arm Liposuction costs vary depending on multiple aspects such as the size of the area, the amount of fat, the anticipated surgery time surgery, the type of anaesthetic used, and the complexity of each personalised case.
A detailed and personalised quote will be calculated from a clearly itemised breakdown of costs, including but not limited to IV sedation or general anaesthetic fees, your post-operative compression garments, and any applicable hospital or facility fees. An exact quote for your individual needs will be provided to you during the initial consultations with your doctor.
