Skin Needling Overview
What is Skin Needling?
Skin needling (also called microneedling) is a procedure that involves the use of a device with very fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin. This is sometimes discussed as a non-surgical option for people exploring cosmetic skin procedures.
What Happens in an Appointment
Preparation: A topical anaesthetic cream may be applied before the procedure.
Procedure: A device with fine needles is used to make controlled passes over the skin.
Duration: Sessions usually last around 45–60 minutes, depending on the area treated.
Aftercare: It is common to experience redness, swelling or sensitivity that settles over several days. Your practitioner will explain aftercare instructions, including products or activities to avoid.
