What is the difference between Liquid Lipo, Liposoft, Traditional Lipo, Body Tite and Laser Assisted Lipo?
Liquid Lipo and LipoSoft are the same. It is a process that uses the force of water rather than traditional Lipo using brute force to break down fat cells. It is a much gentler approach to liposuction, allowing for greater patient comfort. Other advantages include : reduced pain, increased safety and higher accuracy levels, smoother results. Body Tite and Laser assisted Liposuction are an add on to fat removal. They both use energy to heat up the targeted area which results in a tightening of the skin and removal of fat.
What is twilight sedation?
Liquid Liposuction being a gentler procedure does not require a general anaesthethic. Throughout the procedure patients are given medication to make them sleepy and also pain medication to keep them comfortable.
How quickly will I see results after Liquid Lipo?
You will notice a change immediately, although during the first week you will start to swell and any bruising will come out. Your new shape will be evident at 6wks and will continue to improve.
What is the difference between Botox™ and Filler?
Simply Botox relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles (Frown Lines, Crows Feet etc) and Filler replaces lost fat and increase volume (Lips, Cheeks etc). They complement each other well with a combination of both giving a total rejuvenation of the face.
Is Botox a poison?
This is a myth. BOTOX® is a purified protein that is produced by a bacteria in a similar way to Penicillin. Doctors have used BOTOX® therapeutically for over 40 years. Doctors often use medicines that are very useful in low doses that would be harmful at high doses. Cosmetically BOTOX® is given in miniscule doses, directly to the area that is to be affected by it. When given in recommended doses, it is not even detected in the bloodstream.
What is the difference between BBL/Laser and Fractional laser treatments?
Broad band light (BBL) technology utilizes the power of pulsed light to deliver excellent results in photo-rejuvenation therapy. The BBL can be used to be treat sun and age spots, capillaries and other skin blemishes. As a result your skin’s youthful appearance will be restored.
Fractional Laser Resurfacing treats lines and scarring. The laser beam passes through the dry, outer layer of skin and wounds the underlying collagen. Nearby undamaged cells immediately move into this microscopically damaged area and heal the wounded area. During each treatment, millions of these microscopic areas are created, but most of the skin remains undamaged, allowing rapid healing.
How do I take care of my skin after laser treatment?
The most important thing to continue with great skin is protection, preferably with zinc. Your skin will be new, fresh and sensitive to the harmful effects of the sun, It cannot be stressed enough how important sun protection is post laser.
