Some of the reasons for considering nose surgery include improvements to:
Nose size, in relation to other facial structures
Nose width, at the bridge
Nose profile, with visible humps or depressions on the bridge
Nasal tip, that is large or bulbous, drooping or too upturned
Nostrils that are large, wide or upturned
Nasal asymmetry and deviation
The procedure takes 1 – 2 hours performed under general anaesthetic, in hospital.
Patients usually return to work within 7-10 days, with bruising and swelling persisting for several weeks.
Many patients with minor or less severe irregularities of the nose can achieve a more desirable nose appearance using Dermal Filler injections, thus avoiding the need to undergo invasive surgery. A Non-Surgical Nose Job has no effect on nasal breathing (as to create breathing problems) as it only involves the injection of a Dermal Filler into the skin. The procedure is very precise and detailed adjustments to the nasal contouring can be achieved.
The actual details of your surgery will vary depending on your desired result and can be discussed with your surgeon.
