Lip Augmentation with Dermal Fillers
Dermal Fillers are used for Lip Augmentation; the filler helps to restore volume, body and define the border of the lips. Some of the reasons for considering Dermal Fillers in the lips include:
- Adding volume to the lips
- Reducing the appearance of smokers lines around the mouth
- Redefining the lip border
- Lifting the lips so they have a youthful upward appearance
At Cosmos Clinic we only inject the highest quality Dermal Filler products from one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers. These Dermal Fillers are made from natural substances and are commonly used to augment the body and border of the lips. Dermal Filler is a naturally occurring substance found in the body. These products can also assist in the removal of ‘smoker’s lines’ just above and around the lips. Product selection will vary according to the patient’s requirements and the desired outcome.
What does the Lip Augmentation procedure involve?
Numbing cream and ice are used to numb the area, before the Dermal Filler is injected to add volume to the lips. The Dermal Fillers used at Cosmos Clinic have a built in anaesthetic, so there is no need for a painful anaesthetic block. This built in anaesthetic in the filler products helps with any discomfort (which is usually minimal).

The examples, predictions, and results offered on this website vary from individual to individual. Results take time. They can be seen in as little as 6 weeks. This time may vary considerably depending on each individual. 6 weeks is a typical example. Results are effected by a number of factors, predominantly the way in which a patient follows instructions post surgery and the manner in which the patient behaves generally post surgery. Diet and exercise play an important part in the health and well being of a patient and in the maintenance of their body shape. Results will also vary purely based on the general make up of each patient and whether they have had surgery previously.
