What are Wrinkle Reduction Treatments?

Lines and wrinkles caused by years of repeating the same facial expressions, such as frowning and laughing, can sneak up over time and give the face a prematurely aged appearance. Anti-Wrinkle medication works below the skin’s surface to stop the movement of underlying muscles. When injected directly into the muscles, it blocks the communication between muscle cells so that they’re no longer able to make certain expressions. THE PROCEDURE

How is the anti-ageing treatment with wrinkle relaxers performed?

Wrinkle relaxer injections aim to relax muscles by blocking nerve impulses. Effects generally start to become noticeable within about three days post-treatment, but individual response times can vary. Wrinkles and fine lines will fade while the muscle movement reduces, as the skin above the muscles in the treatment areas will stop creasing.

For both new and repeat patients, a brief consultation will be necessary to assess your muscle movement and help determine your aesthetic goals. During your injection appointment, your provider will disinfect the area, ask you to make specific facial expressions such as to frown or squint, and then proceed with injecting a small amount of neuromodulator directly into each muscle.

About five to ten tiny injections will be needed for each treatment area. Anaesthetic is not necessary as cold packs and preserved saline should ensure patient comfort. Depending on the patient, results can be noticeable for about three to eight months after treatment.

What will happen after the treatment?
