Lunchtime Treatments

With the cosmetic industry growing at rapid rates, technology and techniques have developed that allow for patients to come in for their consultation and treatment and be out within an hour, with no downtime and minimal pain. And for the most, a good makeup concealer or powder with green pigment can cover any redness or bruising that may occur.

So the most popular Lunchtime treatments:

Anti Wrinkle Injections: Anti Wrinkle Injections are the most effective treatment for wrinkle reduction in the upper third of your face. You may be familiar with terms such as forehead lines, crow’s feet and smile lines. Anti Wrinkle Injections work by relaxing the muscle and creating a roadblock between the nerve and the treated muscle. Tiny injections are used, no bigger than an acupuncture needle and treatment takes roughly 30 minutes. Optimal results are seen around the two week mark and lasts around 3-4 months.  It can also be used as a preventative for wrinkle formation.

Dermal Fillers:  For wrinkle use, it is used to fill cracks and crevices, for volumising, it is used to plump up areas such as the cheeks and lips. The latest and greatest on the market today are made from a naturally occurring substance in the body. It takes approximately 30 minutes and provides immediate results. Included in the product is a local anaesthetic, reducing any pain you may feel. An added pro is that should the product be injected incorrectly, it can be dissolved and corrected, unlike other dermal fillers on the market today.  Dermal fillers can last between 6 to 24 months.

Laser Treatment for the Skin: Lasers are used to improve the appearance of the upper layer of the skin. They help to fight acne, treat pigmentation and blemishes and assist in ageing. It removes surface skin damage without damaging the surrounding skin. Treatment time will take roughly between 15 -45 minutes and recovery time is minimal. Results are smooth, clear skin that can last a long time should good aftercare be maintained. The pain of the laser beam is like an elastic band snapping against your skin, and for those who aren’t very pain tolerant, laughing gas can be given to ease the pain.

So if you’re looking how to kill some time in your lunchbreak, a visit to a cosmetic clinic can be an option.

    1. Hi Tina,

Thank you for your enquiry. It would be great to see you for a consultation at the clinic to assess your skin accurately. Please let me know if there is a particular day that suits you and I would be delighted to get you booked in. We have two treatments that may be suitable to address the area of your concern. I have included some further information for your reading.

Here at Cosmos Clinic we understand that many patients aren’t quite ready for the costs or downtime associated with an invasive neck lift. The iGuide technology (also known as a Trampoline Lift) delivers fantastic results with a fast recovery. The iGuide is a minimally invasive procedure used to improve the neck, chin and jaw line. The iGuide can also be used on the face and brow area. The procedure delivers consistent natural results with minimal swelling, bruising and scarring. iGuide is a new technology that weaves braided polyester sutures just below the surface of your skin. Using gentle tension the sutures pull the skin into the desired position, creating an instant lift and redefining contours. The procedure offers quick recovery time, immediate results and is a fraction of the cost of a traditional face lift.

iGuide takes approximately 2 hours and is a walk-in walk-out procedure performed under light sedation with local anaesthetic. As the recovery time is 80% less than traditional face lifts, most patients can return to work within a few days and resume physical activity within a week. The cost of the procedure is $6,500 and I have included below more information on this procedure.

The Laser Neck Lift involves the insertion of a fine laser fibre under the surface of the skin. It uses the latest infrared technology to warm up the deep skin tissues, melt fat cells and tighten the collagen fibres resulting in an improvement in your jowls and facial shape. The procedure does not require a general anaesthetic, there is a mild sedation, minimal downtime and scaring. The incision sites are tiny, beside your ears and tucked under your chin and they fade to nothing in time. This is a day case procedure and most of our patients are back to work within 1-2 days! To give you an idea of pricing the cost of this procedure to treat the face and neck is $6000. To treat the face or neck alone the cost is $3500.

Please take a look at our website for more information and photo gallery of the results that we have achieved.

Please don’t hesitate to call or email if you have any further questions or if you would like to make an appointment. I will look forward to hearing from you soon.
