Vaser Liposculpture (Liposuction) – Sydney, Canberra & Adelaide, Gold Coast

After the procedure?

As Vaser Liposuction is undertaken under twilight sedation, all patients return home on the same day. The patient is placed into a compression garment to help with the healing process/skin retraction and minimize swelling. There will be fluid seepage for about 24 hours following the procedure.

At Cosmos Clinic, we assist in the recovery process with regular follow up lymphatic massages, twice a week for 2 weeks.

Vaser vs Other Liposuction Techniques

Traditional Liposuction vs. Vaser Liposuction

With Vaser Liposuction, there are three main stages. Firstly tumescent solution is injected into the areas to be liposuction to numb the area, secondly the Vaser technology is used to melt the fat, thirdly the fat is then suctioned out.

With Traditional liposuction, the extra middle ‘separation/melting’ stage is skipped. The extra separation stage used with Vaser Liposuction means less trauma to the body, and therefore a gentler healing process and better results.

To explain in non-technical terms, Traditional liposuction is like sucking a brick of fat out through a straw, whereas Vaser liposuction melts this fat, making it similar to sucking out butter through a straw.

Liposoft vs. Vaser Liposuction

Liposoft uses water to separate fat cells.

There is no heat given off when Liquid Liposuction is used, which means that unlike Vaser Liposuction, Liquid Liposuction does not tighten the skin.

Laser Liposuction vs. Vaser Liposuction

Laser Liposuction uses light to melt fat.

The laser liposuction technique is only used for small areas of fat, such as the neck. Laser liposuction is unable to melt any large volumes of fat. Vaser liposuction gives off heat more uniformly than the laser.

Bodytite vs. Vaser Liposuction

The Bodytite Liposuction technique uses radio frequency.

Bodytite tends to melt fat in a similar fashion to Vaser, however in our experience the Vaser causes less trauma to the tissues and therefore has less risk of side effects.

The heat produced and used by the Vaser technique is more uniform and gentle than Bodytite, meaning it is much less painful.

Are there any possible complications?

Vaser stands for “Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance” and is one of the gentlest methods of liposuction. Studies have shown that Vaser technology has less complications compared to other UAL methods. Recovery in most cases, is with minimal discomfort and bruising. Most patients return to work in 2 to 5 days after the procedure.
