Dr Eddy Dona is a fully trained Cosmetic, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon. He is a medical graduate from The University of Sydney. He then undertook 11 years of rigorous training under the auspices of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons which is the only statutory recognised body for training surgeons in Australia. After the successful completion of his training he was awarded his specialist surgical qualifications in plastic surgery - FRACS. This is the minimum qualification you should ensure your surgeon has, as there are many "cosmetic surgeons" who do not have this qualification.
Dr Dona is a member of The Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and was awarded "The Advanced Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship" by The Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr Dona regularly attends national and international conferences in Cosmetic Surgery, ensuring he stays abreast of the most advanced techniques. He is an active researcher in various fields of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, presenting his work at numerous conferences.
Dr Dona is a consultant plastic surgeon at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, where he spends much of his time reconstructing the bodies of those affected by trauma and cancer. He firmly believes that only through the experience and skills of "restoring" a person's normal form is a surgeon able to comprehend what it is to be a true cosmetic surgeon. "Enhancing someone's natural beauty is easy for the surgeon that is also capable of creating beauty that has been stolen".
A comprehensive understanding of human aesthetics, a true artistic flare and a commitment to nothing less than exceptional ensures Dr Dona's patients are always in good hands.
Dr Dona's philosophy is very simple… everything he does must be: "Work of Art & Science… accept nothing less" |
