Fat Transfers to the breast - Sydney & Canberra

Want to know more about Fat Transfers? Speak to the staff at Cosmos Clinic for a caring and understanding approach…

Fat transfer, also called autologous fat transplantation or micro-lipoinjection, can plump up the breasts naturally with a  patient’s own fat, and is an alternative to implants for a 1-2 cup increase in breast size. Fat transfer to the breast is a safe, natural non-allergenic procedure. Fat transfers have also become popular in the Buttocks region known as the Brazilian Butt Lift.  Since fat transfer uses your own fat cells, you can never have an allergic reaction, because it’s from your own body. The Japanese have been successfully using the Fat Transfer method for over 20 years.

With a fat transfer, fat can be removed via Liposuction  from your thighs, hips or tummy, for example, and then transferred to any areas  of your body. Reinjected fat lasts longer in larger areas of non-movement. Note that not every area of the body responds well to fat transfers.

The Future for Fat Transfers

Recently a company called Cytori found a way to combine this traditional fat transfer procedure with stem cells, which not only help keep the transferred fat alive, but also increase the density of the fat cells themselves to ensure a more beautiful, youthful, and long-lasting result. The added advantage to this Cytori Fat Transfer method is that because the procedure uses only the patient’s own fat, the resulting enhanced breasts look, move, and feel completely natural.

The Best Candidate for Fat Transfers

The best candidate for Fat Transfers to the breasts are those who need some shape and definition as well as wanting to increase their bust size without the need for implants. Reserves of fat elsewhere on their body are needed, namely abdomen, thighs or back. Fat Transfers can enhance your appearance and confidence, however it may not create your “perfect body” image. It’s important to carefully consider your expectations and discuss them with your surgeon before proceeding. You must have realistic expectations.

Fat Transfer Cost and Prices

Fat Transfer prices will depend on the degree of liposuction being performed. On its own, Fat Transfers start from as little as $2,500, with initial consultation costing $120

Reinjecting the fat is truly an art. Ensure that you have an experienced surgeon performing your procedure, which has a great attention to detail and strives for perfection
